Mayde Creek High School – Career Preparation II - 3 Credits

Career Preparation provides work-based learning experiences that combine classroom instruction with the student’s paid employment experience to develop a variety of employability and job-specific skills, including interviewing techniques, communication skills, financial and budget activities, human relations, and portfolio development. The Career Preparation program supports strong partnerships between the school, business, and the community. Note: Student is required to work 15 hours a week and is a 3 credit course. These courses and the job placement must span the entire school year. Students must provide their own transportation. Students must take 2 courses within the same Program of Study.
