Careers in photography span all aspects of industry from setting up a shot to delivering products in a competitive market. Students develop advanced technical knowledge and skills needed for success in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology and Communications career cluster. Students will focus on developing an advanced technical understanding of the photography industry with an emphasis on production, promotion, and presentation of professional quality photographs. Pre-requisites: Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology and Communications, Digital Arts and Animation, Commercial Photography I 8027V - Digital Audio I 1 credits / 1 Semester / Grades: 11, 12 This course provides an introduction to the digital audio industry. Students explore audio careers in the areas of music production, live sound, film production, animation, game design, radio, and television. Using Digital Audio Work Stations (DAWS) such as ProTools for recording and mixing, students will develop an understanding of the industry with a technical emphasis on production and critical listening skills. Students will be required to provide their own headphones. This course is offered at Miller Career and Technology Center. Co-requisite: Digital Audio II REQUIRED: MCTC Course Request Application - Selecting this course for planning purposes does not guarantee enrollment into the course.
