Grade 11 1 credit Prerequisite: Human Growth and Development and either Teaching as a Profession or Foundations of Curriculum and Instruction The high school-based Child Development Associate (CDA) curriculum is designed to provide students with the same academic and hands-on training needed to prepare any professional for early childhood education and care settings. In grade 11, HCPSS students have the opportunity to earn the CDA certification by completing the CDA Internship and Portfolio course.
