Long Reach High – Construction Technology I

Grades 11, 12 2 credits Students apply architectural engineering, construction technology, and management principles to practical projects within residential and commercial construction. In addition to carpentry, students in this course also explore a variety of construction trade areas, such as electrical and plumbing. Current software solutions, machines, material usage, and design techniques are employed. Students will work in teams to construct models and full-scale projects appropriate to the solution of design, management, and construction problems. Students are enrolled via equitable, randomization processes. A waitlist is generated if seats are filled.
