Art I: Defining the Artistic Process Grades 9, 10, 11, 12 1 credit Art I is the prerequisite course for the comprehensive high school art program and fulfills the one-credit Fine Arts graduation requirement. Studio problems are designed to build creative and critical thinking skills through handson practice in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, digital and mixed media. Students gain an appreciation for the role of art in our culturally diverse world while developing essential life skills such as perseverance, collaboration, reflection, and refinement.
