Long Beach Unified School District ROP – Intermediate String Orchestra

Intermediate String Orchestra is a course for students who have had some previous training and experience in playing a stringed instrument. The emphasis of this course is on the development of individual technique and musicianship in order to prepare the student to progress to one of the more advanced classes. The California Visual and Performing Arts Content Standards are infused throughout this course. The Intermediate Orchestra may perform at special school events such as assemblies, plays and musical theater productions, and at concerts and festivals. Rehearsals and performance outside of class time are required.
Prerequisites: Approval of instructor
