Long Beach Unified School District ROP – Advanced Chamber Orchestra

Advanced Chamber Orchestra is a course for advanced string students with extensive training and experience. Students study and perform a variety of orchestra and chamber music from different historical periods. Students continue their development of technique, musicianship, as well as personal practice habits and performance etiquette. Standard orchestral compositions are studied for performance at special school events such as assemblies, plays and musical theater productions, and at concerts and festivals. Students also study and perform chamber music in small ensembles. Rehearsals and performance outside of class time are required. California Visual and Performing Arts Advanced Content Standards in Music are infused throughout the course.
