Lincoln Park Technology and Trade Center – Medical Assistant Technology

Prepares students to become multi-functional healthcare office practitioners and to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification exam. Curriculum awards an Associate of Applied Science Degree and covers both clinical and administrative skills. Students learn to use computerized simulation manikins, document patient exams in electronic medical records, take vital signs, master injection techniques, and use billing software. Training takes place in simulated Doctor's Office Classrooms that mimic real-world reception and examination environments.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of 1,465 clock hours and 63.5 credits is required to earn the Associate of Applied Science degree.
