Lincoln Park Technology and Trade Center – Dental Assistant

Program teaches students how to provide service to dental patients and ensure procedures are performed smoothly, efficiently, and comfortably. Training includes practicing with dental simulators (Typodonts), mastering safety measures, taking impressions, processing X-rays, and managing a dental operatory. Students develop chair-side techniques for dental restorations, periodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, and reconstructive procedures. Curriculum also covers the business side of dental offices, including communication and financial management, as well as lab and sterilization procedures. Includes a clinical internship under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
