Lincoln High School – Construction 1-2 (Interior Design and Architecture)

This intro level project-based studio course focuses on observing and improving the built environment around us. We will investigate many facets of the design process and provide an understanding of the steps and elements involved in designing thoughtful and beautiful interior experiences. Students will learn to use a variety of hand and power tools throughout the course. Class sessions are primarily self directed and include hands-on activities, group discussion, demonstrations, and slide presentations to reinforce the key ideas. Greater topics covered include, woodshop safety, identifying sustainable building practices, investigating problem solving through design, responsible material use.
