In this standard-level IB course, students explore the practice of philosophy using critical and systematic thinking, careful analysis, and argumentation. They exercise their intellectual curiosity and independent thinking and develop their own philosophical voice. They also engage with some of the world’s most interesting and influential thinkers. They also explore perspectives that encompass cultural pluralism and an awareness of the international context within which it unfolds. This course is designed to prepare students to take the IB Philosophy SL exam. Passing the exam may make them eligible for college credit.
