Lincoln High School – Avid 12

One more year! This year can feel crazy and like a whirlwind of forms, planning and checklists. AVID 12 helps students complete everything on their checklist without it being painful (or as painful). We focus on completing writing college essays, completing college applications, completing scholarship applications and much more. If your plans differ from a 4 year college, AVID helps you and your family create those plans. We focus on “how to be an adult,” how do you make a schedule? How do you read a syllabus? How do you do laundry? How do you cook simple meals? We also continue to support students in school through tutoring, after school study sessions and check ins. The goal is getting across the stage and having a plan for what comes next. AVID is designed for students with a desire to succeed, a willingness to participate in the program and that may need a little extra support and connection for that success to happen!
Prerequisites: Admission by application only or continuation from a prior AVID class.
