Lincoln High School – AP Cybersecurity

We study Cybersecurity skills and this is equivalent to a collegiate Introduction to Cybersecurity course. We study cyber threats and adversaries faced by organizations. We learn defense against attacks that harm or break open systems and data. We study risks created by weaknesses and how to control and manage that risk. Topics: physical networks, applications, security controls, cryptography, access control, attacks and detection, response, and recovery. We research emerging trends in cybersecurity and get hands-on experience implementing security protocols. In addition to the AP test, students can earn a COMP TIA industry certification.
Prerequisites: C or higher in AP Computer Science Principles or teacher recommendation
Grades: 10, 11, 12
