AP Studio Art Drawing is an advanced art course designed for the ambitious art student who wishes to pursue college-level studies, and for the student who is seriously interested in the creative experiences of experimenting with concepts & art making that investigates a focus of personal choice. The AP course guidelines are based on Advanced Placement Exam portfolio requirements. At the end of the year, a portfolio representing 20 pieces of art work will be submitted to the College Board for assessment. Students investigate personally relative art making over time creating 15 works in an extensive study of a particular design concern (Sustained Investigation) and select five of the most exemplary works (Selected Works).
