This is a course for a student taking Acting for thesecond time. This course delves further into thetechniques of acting through the introduction ofparticular schools of thought associated with thecontrol of voice and movement for effective characterdevelopment. Using these techniques, the student thenexplores the style of realism and examines the artistsassociated with that movement and their methods oflinstruction. Through this framework the students beginto master specific period styles through research andlimplementation of the restrictions and demands foundlin a specific style. The course culminates in a peerreviewed performance which offers the opportunities toaudition, build, and critique theatrical productions inthe classroom setting. The course is designed for anystudent wishing to hone their acting skills in an effort tobroaden the range of possibilities for performance.After-school rehearsal time and performances may berequired.
