Klein Oak High School – Lifetime Nutrition & Wellness

You will gain knowledge of the roles of nutrients in the body and develop an understanding of lifetime wellness and nutrition principles. You are encouraged to apply these principles in making educated choices that promote lifelong wellness. You will demonstrate knowledge of nutrition and effective work habits such as cooperation, responsibility, time management and problem solving in the food laboratory and classroom. Students will be required to take and pass, with 100%, a mandatory safety exam within the first two weeks of school to remain in the course.
