Communications Applications Sheltered Instruction is designed to support emergent bilingual students. Students enrolled in Communication Applications will be expected to identify, analyze, develop, and evaluate communication skills needed for professional and social success in interpersonal situations, group interactions, and personal and professional presentations. The course emphasizes the application of verbal and nonverbal skills and critical-thinking and problem-solving processes. This course will have an emphasis on a variety of methods and strategies focusing on the acceleration of language acquisition and content for emergent bilingual students. English Language Arts
