PEIMS: 13009410 You will participate in a laboratory course and gain the knowledge and skills related to apparel from the perspectives of personal decision making relating to the apparel industry and career preparation. Topics include apparel repair and alterations, managing the apparel dollar and the history of fashion. The production of fibers and fabrics, apparel care, garment construction and maintenance are also covered in this course. Quality apparel construction is addressed as it relates to consumer decision making and career preparation for the apparel industry. Students will be required to take and pass, with 100%, a mandatory safety exam within the first two weeks of school to remain in the course.
