Klein Forest High School – Practicum in Law Enforcement

Level Criminal Justice Course This course is taught in conjunction with the support of the Klein ISD Police Department at the district police facility. Students in this course will have opportunities to participate in simulated situations such as tactical force training, building search, felony and basic traffic stops, fingerprinting, evidence handling and basic patrol procedures. The Practicum in Law class assists the Klein Police Department with events such as football games and large meetings for crowd control. Field experiences may include Harris County Criminal Courts, Texas DPS Headquarters, TDCJ prison system, Homeland security and Houston Police Division. Students will be required to pass a criminal background check, complete confidentiality waiver forms and provide tactical boots to be worn with the issued uniform.
