Klein Forest High SchoolBarbering II /Lab

Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester

Students who have completed Barbering I and the required 450 hours are eligible to participate in the second year of the Barbering program. One class period is devoted to classroom work for the study of barbering theory. Two class periods each day are devoted to practice in the laboratory to increase each student’s manipulative skills. Barbering II students are required to enroll in an 8th period. After two years the students should have fulfilled the 1000–hour requirement to take the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) examination to become a Licensed Class A Barber. Once the required hours are met, TDLR requires a written exam fee. The written exam must be passed before applying for the practical exam. Students eligible for the exam are responsible for all exam fees. Students will be required to take and pass, with 100%, a mandatory safety exam within the first two weeks of school to remain in the course. Note: Students are required to enroll in an 8th period class. M
