You will develop knowledge and skills pertaining to the nutrition, reproduction, health and management of domestic livestock. Livestock & Poultry Production will address topics related to beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, goats, and poultry. You have the opportunity to study animal systems, animal restraint, business management, and explore career opportunities through this project based course.You will also have the opportunity to participate in extended learning experiences by joining the National FFA Organization.Students will be required to take and pass, with 100%, a mandatory safety exam within the first two weeks of school to remain in the course. VETERINARY MEDICAL APPLICATIONS
Prerequisites: Principles of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Small Animal Management, and Equine Science
