Klein Collins High School – VISUAL ARTS HL (higher level)

This course serves as year 2 of a 2 year course design; students will take Visual Arts SL in grade 11. The IB Diploma Programme Visual Arts HL course builds upon the skills developed in SL. The course encourages students to challenge their own creative and cultural expectations and boundaries. In lieu of a traditional exam, this course culminates through the completion of an exhibition curating 8-11 artworks, a process portfolio of experimentation, exploration, and refinement of a variety of art-making activities, and a comparative study analyzing the influences of artists and the ways in which art influences.
