Aerospace Science 400: Management of the Cadet Corps: Cadets manage the entire corps during their 4th year in JROTC. This hands-on experience affords the cadets the opportunity to put the theories of previous leadership courses into practice. Aerospace Science 410: Survival: Survive—Return: Instruction provides training in skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to successfully perform fundamental tasks needed for survival. Leadership Education 400: Principles of Management: Provides exposure to the fundamentals of management. Leadership Education 500: Drill and Ceremonies: Note explanation in Course 1901. Wellness Education: Note explanation in Course 1901. Optional - Aerospace Science 500: Aviation Honors Ground School Program: Material covered is an advanced, more in-depth study of previous aerospace topics. The course is the foundation for students interested in earning a private pilot's license. Army JROTC (Klein Cain) The mission of Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AJROTC) is “To Motivate Young People to be Better Citizens”. AJROTC prepares students for leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as Americans. To accomplish this mission, the program of instruction provides education in citizenship, leadership, life success, geography, and wellness to help students succeed in high school and after graduation. The program promotes graduation from high school and provides instructional opportunities which benefit the student, community, and nation. The program produces successful students and productive adults, while offering a constructive and disciplined learning environment. AJROTC is an elective course offering leadership education and physical training to high school students through four academic years, 9th through 12th grade. Wearing the JROTC uniform once a week is a requirement to participate in AJROTC. While in uniform, Cadets must meet the minimum appearance standards listed in the appropriate regulation, including haircut standards. AJROTC I
