Justice High – Information Systems
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
Information Systems uses project-based learning, students apply problem-solving skills to real-life situations through word processing, spreadsheets, databases and multimedia presentations. Students work individually and in groups utilizing integrated software activities within Microsoft Office 365 to explore computer concepts, operating systems, networks, telecommunications, and emerging technologies. Keyboarding instruction will be a component of this course based on student need. Upon successful completion of Information Systems, students may elect to obtain industry-recognized professional certification by taking the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams. Internship opportunities are available for this course. Students combine classroom instruction and supervised on-the-job training in an approved position with continuing supervision throughout the school year. FBLA, the co-curricular student organization, offers opportunities in leadership, community, and competitive events.
