AP Drawing is an introductory college-level drawing course. Students refine and apply drawing skills to ideas they develop throughout the course. The AP Art and Design course framework comprises course skills, big ideas, essential questions and enduring understandings, learning objectives, and essential knowledge. AP Art and Design skill categories delineate overarching understandings central to studying and practicing art and design. Three skill categories – Inquiry and Investigation, Making through Practice, Experimentation and Revision, and Communication and Reflection. These skills encompass foundational to advanced learning over the course. Students need to develop, practice, and apply these skills in various contexts.
Prerequisites: Recommended: Experience in 2-dimensional art course or portfolio review.
