Do you want to be a teacher? Would you like to potentially work for Lake Washington School District? Then this course is for you! The Teacher Education Academy program is aimed at recruiting; preparing; and mentoring students to prepare them to become future teachers in our district. This course follows the State of Washington’s “Recruiting Washington Teachers; ” curriculum focusing on thematic units and a hands-on experience: Healthy Learning Community; Culture and Identity; Equity and Opportunity; Equity Pedagogy; College Access and Success; and a Practicum/Internship.
