Juanita High School – Retail Operations I/II

This course utilizes the professional skills developed in previous business and marketing classes. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of marketing strategies from a management perspective. Areas of emphasis include human resources; marketing research; strategic planning; and e-commerce. Students will apply their knowledge through operating the student store including all operations such as customer service; sales; POS register operations; financial management; profit; loss and risk management; pricing; inventory; and communication in the workplace. Technology will be integrated into all operational procedures and marketing activities.
Prerequisites: Business and Marketing Foundations and teacher approval
