This class is conducted in Japanese using a communicative approach. Students will build on the basics learned in Japanese 1 and 2 to further develop Intermediate Low proficiency. Students continue to deepen their intercultural and communication skills through interpersonal speaking and writing, presentational speaking and writing, and interpretive reading and listening. Topics of study may include global challenges, family and community, beauty and aesthetics, science and technology, personal and public identities, and the customs and traditions of the people of the Japanese-speaking world.
