Interlake Senior High School – IB Visual Art Sl/AP Visual Art 1

In this two-semester advanced art course, students will develop a portfolio of studio work and conduct research into visual art forms of interest as defined by the IB SL assessment criteria. The IB Portfolio may include a variety of art media including traditional 2D and 3D media, and computer-generated work. Research in the form of drawing and writing will inform the art portfolio but will compose a smaller percentage of the grading in the course.
Prerequisites: Suggested 2 semesters of visual art and teacher recommendation
Grades: 9th Grade, 10th Grade, 11th Grade, 12th Grade
