This class is designed around conversation, skill-building and collaboration to uplift student voice and prepare youth for a role in reporting and publications. We will learn about the rights and responsibilities we have as members of the media. We will interview, craft stories, and we will learn the basics of hard news and feature writing. Students will take the course within the overall Headlight newsroom, where they will be integrated into becoming staff writers and eventually writing articles for our news publications.
