Building on the foundations of Introduction to Leadership, this course dives deeper into the strategies and skills needed to create meaningful change within Ida B. Wells High School and beyond. Together, we’ll explore advanced leadership concepts, such as ethical decision-making, systems thinking, and leading with empathy and kindness. Students will actively work to address real challenges in our school and community by designing events and initiatives that prioritize inclusivity, kindness, and school pride. As leaders, students will take on roles that allow them to collaborate across diverse groups, plan large-scale events such as assemblies and fundraisers, and mentor their peers. This course focuses on cultivating vulnerability, integrity, and courage, empowering students to lead authentically while fostering a stronger, more connected school community.
