Harrison High School – Classic Orchestra (Intermediate Orchestra)

The Classic Orchestra is an Intermediate Level string instrument performance class for string instrumentalists who have a minimum of four years of training (or equivalent) in performance fundamentals. The orchestra rehearses all year during the school day. Music fundamentals and principles are taught, reinforced, and developed through the course curriculum. Each orchestra course is designed to cater to the individual needs of the students based on their current skill level. Students will continue to deepen their understanding of individual and ensemble performance skills performing intermediate literature.
Prerequisites: Prior Orchestral Experience or Teacher Recommendation
Grades: 10-12 (Fall), 9-12 (Spring)
