This course is designed to equip students with essential financial literacy skills. The course covers a range of topics including financial attitudes and behaviors, income and taxes, budgeting, buying goods and services, financial accounts, credit and loans, financial investing, and insuring and planning. It also emphasizes the importance of understanding how personal financial decisions are made, cognitive biases, wages and salaries, personal or family budgets, interest earning, credit accounts, investment accounts and retirement plans, and insurance risks.
