Harmony High School – Leadership Education and Training 1

This course teaches students the value of citizenship, leadership, and service to the community, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. Its focus is reflected in its mission statement, “To motivate young people to be better citizens.” It prepares high school students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens. Content includes leadership development, drill and ceremony, personal health and fitness, first aid, map skills, techniques of writing and public speaking, American history, drug intervention and substance abuse, marksmanship, and safety. Extracurricular activities include Drill Team, Color Guard, Raider Team, Rifle Team, and Sabers Honor Club.
