Green Mountain High School – Academy Capstone

In the Academy Capstone course, students will research a topic of their choice, write a paper, complete a comprehensive project, and present their experience through a formal presentation to a panel of teachers, administrators, and community members. The course will focus on Durable Skills: Character, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Fortitude, Growth Mindset, Leadership, Metacognition, and Mindfulness. As part of our Academy Program, Capstone projects are designed to be the pinnacle of a student’s academic journey and provide an authentic learning experience that prepares them for college and career. All students who successfully complete a Capstone project will earn English graduation competency. This class is a part of every pathway and successful completion is required to be a Valedictorian or Salutatorian.
