Green Mountain High School – Outdoor ED Lab Counselor
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
Interested sophomores, juniors and seniors complete an application to be selected as a high school leader. The leaders meet on a regular basis with the middle school teachers and students. During the 4 days at outdoor lab, high school leaders teach small groups of sixth-grade students, supervise a dormitory or cabin, supervise cafeteria activities, and carry out other duties assigned by the middle school team. Grades are on a pass or fail basis and the high school leader’s performance will be evaluated by the teachers and principals at outdoor lab. Leaders can also choose to receive community service hours instead of credit. Leaders are expected to make arrangements with their high school instructors to make up academic work which they miss while at outdoor lab.
