Garfield High – Expectant Teen Program (ETC)

A comprehensive, school-based program designed to improve the educational experience and increase the availability of support services for expectant and parenting students and their children. The program provides academic and support services to the students, including, but not limited to, case management, counseling, referral and service coordination. Program goals include supporting expectant and parenting teens with support services while completing their education, providing resources to assist expectant and parenting teens plan for their future, and assisting with the transition of child care services.
Prerequisites: Teen expecting a baby or teen parent (mothers and fathers), have not graduated from high school, live within San Diego Unified School District boundaries
