This program is designed for students with career interests in the food industry as well as owning their own catering business. The purpose of this course is to develop skills in quantity food preparation, safety and sanitation, planning, customer service, business plans and entrepreneurship. At FRHS: In this hands-on course, students will explore the exciting world of catering and food service management. Students will learn the skills needed to plan, prepare, and present food for a variety of events and occasions. Emphasis will be placed on menu planning, budgeting, food safety and sanitation, customer service, and teamwork. This class is ideal for students interested in culinary arts, hospitality, or event planning careers. (Please Note: Ingredients and food preparation processes in this course assumes the possibility of cross contamination of common food allergens.) All options for Humanities Credits
