This course is open only to those students who have successfully completed a beginning weight training course at this high school. Students will review the techniques, methods and principles presented in the beginning course. Additional training methods will be introduced and practiced. This class can be repeated. This class will provide the opportunity to explore the benefits of physical activities such as weight lifting, aerobic conditioning, walking, group fitness, and a "gym" like atmosphere is presented. An appreciation of physical fitness and wellness, which includes muscle strength, cardio-respiratory endurance and flexibility, and encourages a positive attitude toward exercise. At FRHS: This course is intended for students that are serious about weight training and have completed a Beginning Weight Training course. This course is not just for athletes, it is intended to serve all students seeking to participate in an advanced weight training program course. This class can be repeated.
