The purpose of this course is to prepare learners for positive engagement with our rapidly changing world by examining global issues with reflection, empathy and a critical eye. The course is based on skills rather than specific content. Students will learn public speaking and presentation skills, critical evaluation of various types of informational media, and research skills. These skills will enable students to meet the demands of twenty-first century learning and make a successful transition to study in higher education and beyond. In order to receive AICE credit and a passing grade for this class students must successfully complete a detailed research paper, an oral presentation, and a written examination. Advanced Placement course is intended to develop skills in drawing as you explore different media and approaches. Investigating the materials, processes, and ideas that artists and designers use. Students demonstrate proficiency in the conceptual development of content in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and/or design to create self-directed or collaborative 2-D artwork suitable for inclusion in a portfolio. Students produce works that show evidence of developing craftsmanship and quality in the composition. Through the critique process, students evaluate and respond to their own work and that of their peers. Through a focused investigation of traditional techniques, historical and cultural models, and individual expressive goals, students begin to develop a personal art style. This course incorporates hands-on activities and consumption of art materials. purpose of this course is to further develop students’ abilities to communicate ideas and concepts through intermediate-level two-dimensional design and composition. This course is a continuation of 2D Studio Art 1 with a stronger emphasis on mastery of media, techniques and tools used to create visual communication work.

Students explore the aesthetic foundations of art making using beginning photography techniques. This course may include, but is not limited to, color and/or black and white photography via digital media and/or traditional photography. Students become familiar with the basic mechanics of a camera, including lens and shutter operation, compositional foundations, printing an image for display, and evaluating a successful print. Student photographers may use a variety of media and materials, such as $3 5 \mathrm { m m }$ black and white film, single lens reflex camera, digital camera, darkroom, computer application, filters, various papers, digital output, photogram, cyanotypes, Sabatier effect, and pinhole photography.

This is an IB-MYP (International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme) course, which values communication, holistic learning, and intercultural awareness. Students will use the design cycle, which is a way of thinking and organizing to help you realize a goal. The design cycle starts with an investigation of an issue or topic: what do you want to do or create? What problem do you want to solve? This course is to introduce the student to the history, goals, and career opportunities in the Criminal Justice Profession. It also covers ethics and professionalism, constitutional and criminal laws, court and trial process, juvenile justice system, and the correctional system. Students will also be instructed on personal, interpersonal, and communication skills as well as demonstrate employability skills.

This course is to introduce the student to the characteristics and procedures of patrol, complete written reports, and crime prevention programs. Students will also describe guidelines for Use-of-force, perform CPR/ first aid techniques, and procedures to protect from Blood-Borne pathogens. Training for Traffic Control Officer and Parking Enforcement Specialist IAW Florida Statute 316.640 will be accomplished.

This course is to introduce the student to the crime scene safety, conducting criminal investigations, conducting forensic processing, and complete property control procedures. Students will conduct a traffic crash investigation completing the proper report forms. Computer skills as well as job related math skills will be performed. Enhancing the awareness of human diversity will be instructed.
