Collaboration and teamwork are essential, and students must be available after school, especially during deadlines. This course meets on alternating days throughout the school year and requires time outside of school hours. * * * National Honor Society Grades 10-12 This is not a course but students with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher are invited to apply after 3 semesters. The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The Erie Chapter of NHS is an active participant in the Erie, both at EHS and in the community. NHS is committed to making a positive difference in the school and community by devoting countless volunteer hours in a wide variety of community events, as well as school events such as a biannual blood drive, a Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fundraiser, a food drive to support the local food bank, and support in a variety of ways for our troops abroad and at home.
