Erie High School – & MU1515B Symphonic Orchestra (Full Symphony Orchestra)

This is our most advanced orchestra that mainly focuses on standard and major symphonic works in their original forms as well as providing students the opportunity to learn and rehearse music as Chamber Ensembles. Open to all grades and all symphonic instruments. This ensemble is designed to allow the orchestral musicians to learn and experience some of the greatest works of music. Improving individual playing skills and commitment to this ensemble are a priority in this class. This is a performance-oriented learning experience and includes orchestra performances, community programs, and music festivals. Symphonic Orchestra performs a minimum of 5 concerts per year (October, December, March, April, and May). Students will prepare and audition for honors ensembles such as All State Orchestra, Western States Honor Orchestra, All State Band, etc. Students auditioning for this course should register for String Orchestra
