Erie High School – Introduction To Music Theory

Intro to Music Theory is a course for any student interested in learning about the how and why behind the music. No previous musical experience is required! The course will cover topics like scales and keys with the goal of learning how to build chords and string them together to create musical compositions. All students interested in furthering their knowledge of how music works will benefit from this class! In addition to covering the topics above, this class also prepares students to take AP Music Theory if desired. (This class is NOT a required prerequisite for AP Music Theory, but it is recommended as an introductory course prior to taking AP Music Theory). * * *
