Eastlake High School – 2D Art 2: Advanced

This advanced art course builds on the skills and principles learned in 2D Art 1A & 1B, allowing students further to develop their drawing, painting, and design abilities. Emphasizing choice-based learning, students can select personal themes and concepts for their projects, fostering creative independence and self-expression. Through teacher-guided and student-directed projects, students will refine their artistic style, create original works, and engage in detailed discussions and evaluations of their progress. They will explore various techniques and artistic styles and document their process as they build a portfolio. This course is a prerequisite for 2D Studio 3 or AP 2D Art and Design and AP Art Drawing.
