Jazz Band members must be enrolled and participate fully in the concert band or orchestra program (Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra) or by director’s permission. Music is focused on all styles and periods of jazz music as well as improvisation. A high level of commitment is expected, including regular individual practice and attendance at all performances. Evening performances occur throughout the year as well as trips to festivals and clinics. This course may be repeated for credit.
