The Floriculture course is designed to teach technical knowledge and skills for entry-level positions in the production, processing, and distribution of flowers, foliage, and related plant materials. This includes best management practices in field and greenhouse production of flowers and related plant materials, as well as the arrangement of plant materials for ornamental purposes. Typical instruction includes hands-on propagation of plants, creation of floral designs such as bouquets, wreaths, and other special occasion arrangements, relevant school-to-work experience, and participation in FFA activities.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Horticulture with a 70+

Grades: 10, 11, 12
