OFFERED AS A DOUBLE BLOCK SPRING PM The Cosmetology Program prepares students to qualify and successfully complete all requirements for a South Carolina Cosmetology license. Students receive training following the guidelines and regulations established by the South Carolina Labor, Licensing, and Regulation (SCLLR) Cosmetology Board. The course of study includes Sanitation and Safety, Professionalism and Salon Management, Sciences of Cosmetology, Professional Hair Care Skills, Professional Nail Care Skills, and Professional Skin Care Skills. Cosmetology 2 expands upon concepts learned in Cosmetology 1 and concentrates on chemical services such as hair color, bleaching, permanent waving, and chemical hair relaxing. Students begin to work on clients, demonstrating customer service skills and needs assessment.

Prerequisites: Cosmetology 1 with a 70+, a minimum of 250 clock hours, AND on track for graduation
