This course covers all of the basics of food and nutrition. You will cook in the classroom lab setting including covering the primary cooking methods, knife skills, quick breads, desserts, soups, sauces, grains, egg preparation and family food traditions. Part of the grade is tasting the food you make in labs and costing out the ingredients. Food allergies and special dietary restrictions are taken into account.
