duPont Manual High – Guitar Technique and Repertoire
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
Students will develop their technique and knowledge of performance practice through prepared selections and technical requirements from the Royal Conservatory Music Development Series. Students will develop their ear through “playback dictations” (see Ear Tests) and rhythmic exercises found in Hall’s Studying Rhythm Chapters 1 - 5. Additionally, students will draw upon music history as it presents itself in the literature.
Prerequisites: Audition
Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12
