The Barbering/Master Hair Care Specialist program is designed to prepare students to become a Registered Barber or a Master Hair Care Specialist. Students will perform techniques and arts such as hair cutting and styling, facial treatments, trimming and shaving of facial hair, chemical hair relaxing, tinting, coloring, shampooing and rinsing. On completion of the 1500 course hours, the students will be eligible to take the Barber State Board Exam to receive a license.

Cosmetology is designed to prepare students to qualify for the state board licensing examination upon completion of the program. Students receive training in the care of hair, skin, and nails. The course study includes scalp treatment, hair shaping, hair styling, setting, permanent waving, tinting, coloring, and chemical relaxers. Care of skin and nails includes manicures and pedicure, massages, facials, applying makeup and hair removal. Also included in the course of study is salon planning and management. Upon successful completion of the second year and passing the state board examination, seniors earn their cosmetology license.

Culinary Arts is a challenging course offering training in all aspects of food preparation and service. The program includes the principles of food preparation, recipe adjustment, purchasing; food costing; menu planning; banquet set-up, preparation and service; basic nutrition; and garnishing techniques.
